For over 20 years, Vitamin Angels has been helping at-risk populations in need specifically pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life changing vitamins and minerals.
Hundreds of thousands of children, right here at home, are undernourished. For these American children, the ability to reach their full potential is hindered by inconsistent access to healthy and nutritious foods. This food insecurity can result in deficiencies of micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that are necessary for proper physical and mental development. Without these micronutrients, their lives—and futures—are at risk.
We target at-risk populations without regular access to facility-based health services through a network of international and local NGOs—our field partners—who have a local presence and intimate understanding of the community being served. In doing so, every project is tailored to the individual needs of the population being served while using proven interventions delivered consistent with accepted best practices.
