The Foundation for Free Education’s (FFE’s) main goals are to democratize knowledge and broadly distribute free educational resources throughout the world, especially in developing nations and impoverished communities. Advocating for free post-secondary education everywhere is another of its central aims.
The FFE is also concerned with educational policy writing. Influencing educational policy to account for the needs of the poor, to incorporate the advantages of interdisciplinary, and to encourage open source education, are some of the FFE’s major policy goals. Open Source Educational Resources are freely available online for everyone to use.
The Foundation for Free Education wants to make that common knowledge. Open Educational Resource Commons, “free-to-use teaching and learning content from around the world.”
